The Panasonic GX850 is a mirrorless interchangeable lens camera that delivers DSLR quality images and 4K high-resolution video in a diminutive package, not much larger than most modern compact cameras. Its 16 megapixel Live MOS sensor features no low pass filter, enabling you to capture your life with uncompromising detail and clarity.
Its updated sensor design is coupled with an improvediteration of the Venus Engine image processor to deliver a ISO200-25600 range and innovative 4K Photo Modes. This ensures you are equipped to capture fleeting moments with confidence, even in difficult lighting situations. A flash is built-in to cater for extremely dark environments.
4K 100Mbps Video Recording
The 100Mbps 4K video recording capabilities of the GF9 really sets it apart from anything else in its class. Great for YouTube vloggers or aspiring filmmakers, its incredible video detail is four times as large as Full HD quality, providing exceptional creative potential during post-production. The 5 minute recording ceiling when shooting in 4K is more than enough for most situations, and can be extended to 20 minutes by using the Full HD 1080p/60 recording setting.
MP4 & AVCHD File Format Compatible
Both MP4 and AVCHD video formats are supported to ensure compatibility with most devices and editing programs, plus seamless integration into your existing post-production workflow.
10fps Continuous Burst Mode Shooting
The GX8509 is also a very capable stills camera.Leveraging the speed required for UHD video processing it delivers a maximum 1/16000th shutter speed and a 10fps burst mode at full resolution, equipping you with greater leeway when shooting in broad daylight with a large aperture lens..
4K Photo Mode @ 30fps
Panasonic's innovative 4K photo modes are also available to help you capture the decisive moment. 4K photo shooting will capture continuous 8MP stills at 30 frames per second. 3 different 4K shooting modes are available to allow you to capture ultra-fast motion according to your requirements or preferences.
4K Post Focus Mode
A Post Focus mode can be utilised when shooting an image with a shallow depth of field and multiple points of interest along the focal plane. The post focus function will allow you to magically choose which part of the image you would like to focus on, and will enable you to extract a 8 MP JPG file. Extract multiple images at different focal lengths then blend them together to create an ultra-detailed image with a deep depth of field.
DFD Autofocus System
Autofocus performance is enhanced with DFD (Depth-From-Defocus) technology added to the GF9's functionality. The contrast detection type system improves the speed and consistency of your autofocus performance for razor sharp results even in low-light conditions. The DFD algorithm is great for motion tracking, enabling the camera to lock onto moving subjects, perfect for both stills and video shooting.
3-inch Flip-Up OLED Touchscreen
The rear 3-inch screen features a bright OLED touchscreen panel and sharp 1.04 million-dot resolution. It's unique design 180° tilt-up design that delivers excellent visibility from a variety of angles and is perfect for vlogging and selfies.
Wi-Fi for Instant Photo Sharing
Built-in Wi-Fi connectivity will push you to explore your creative boundaries. Connect to the camera wirelessly via your smartphone or tablet to enable remote camera control, or keep your friends and family in the loop by sending photos to your device for easy sharing on your favourite social media platforms.
Includes G Vario 12-32mm Lens
The included Lumix G Vario 12-32mm lens offers a 35mm equivalent 24-64mm focal range, ideal for a wide variety of photographic opportunities including landscapes, street photography and portraits. Despite its ultra-compact profile the lens features three aspherical elements and one extra-low dispersion element to minimise ghosting and maximise clarity and detail across the entire focal range.
