Capable of supporting a payload of up to 13.5kg, videographers can secure balance heavy lenses and equipment onto the 509HD. A four-step counterbalance balances up to 12.8Kg and ensures quick setup.
Long Quick Release Plate
Perfect for large cameras and uneven setups, the 140mm long sliding quick release plate provides a large range of adjustment. Scale markings make it easy to balance your gear with precision while the side-lock system makes it easy to quickly snap in the QR plate.
Two Easy Link Connectors
Attach external accessories onto the top plate via the two 3/8-inch threads to optimise weight distribution and reduce top heaviness on your camera.
Variable Fluid Drag System
You can achieve the perfect pans regardless of the weight of your rig by personalising the friction on the variable fluid drag mechanism. A -60° to +90° lateral tilt range and 360° panoramic rotation maximises your range of motion while independent disc-brake locks ensure the head remains secure.
Unique Bridge Architecture
The wide top plate and long sliding plate employs Manfrotto’s Bridging Technology to optimise balance and versatility. Encased in lightweight aluminium, the hollowed design with inner ball bearings ensure strength and precision without unnecessary weight.
