The Fujifilm X-T3 takes the highly-regarded mirrorless cameras series to bold new frontiers with improved 4K 60fps video capabilities with 10-bit colour depth and a stack of other features. Keep up with the fastest subjects using the blackout-free sports mode that boasts an electronic shutter speed of up to 30fps. Fuji are known for excellent image quality and the XT3 is no exception with its X-Trans IV image sensor and Fujifilm colour science.

26.1 Megapixel X-Trans IV BSI Sensor

With an all-new X-Trans IV CMOS sensor, the XT3 ensures that the picture quality which has been key to the success of the series is not only maintained but improved. Capture shots with a high level of detail because the sensor does not have a low pass filter to improve sharpness. Thanks to a new back side illuminated (BSI) design you can also confidently shoot in darker light conditions than with previous models.

Improved X-Processor 4

Designed to not only handle the massive data rates of 4K footage at high framerates, the new X-Processor 4 also crunches a huge amount of information coming from the 425 points on the sensor to calculate autofocus in as little as 0.06 seconds, when in the BOOST mode for critical moment capture. The processor also enables improved eye and face detection that allow you to capture more in focus shots, even if your subject is moving quickly.

Full Sensor Coverage with 2.16M Phase Detection Pixels

The phase detection autofocus of the X T3 has been redesigned from previous models with an impressive 2.16M phase detection pixels on the sensor in both the AF-S and AF-C mode. The points are no longer just located in the centre, instead they cover the entire sensor which dramatically improves subject tracking. The low-light AF performance of the camera has also been increased to enable autofocus in conditions as dark as -3EV.

3.69-Million Dot OLED EVF

A high resolution 3.69-Million dot EVF on the XT 3 ensures that framing your shot and is straightforward and intuitive but at the same time incredibly sharp and accurate. The OLED viewfinder is bright and has a high magnification ratio of 0.75x. Performance is impressive with a 100fps refresh rate and a display lag of a mere 0.005 seconds

Sports Mode with Blackout-free Shooting

Boasting an all-new sports mode, the camera can capture an impressive 30 frames-per-second with AF/AE-tracking using the electronic shutter without making a sound. Due to the large amount of image data the image area is reduced to a 1.25x crop which bring your subject even closer in the frame, while the OLED EVF displays blackout-free visibility to track your subject with ease.

Better Face and Eye Detection AF Performance

Fuji have significantly improved the performance of the cameras face and eye-detection technology to improve the hit rate when shooting portraits. Even if your subject is moving around, you can be confident that the XT3 will nail the focus time and time again.

11fps Mechanical Shutter

The mechanical shutter guarantees crisp sharp images without rolling shutter. Electronic shutters are ideal for shooting in quieter situations but sometimes you need the performance and accuracy of a physical mechanical shutter. The updated processor in the X-T3 reduces the risk of rolling shutter by approximately 50% but by using the mechanical shutter you can enjoy 0% chance of sensor read out distortion.

Film Simulation Modes and Classic Fujifilm Colour

With 16 integrated film simulation modes, the camera tips it’s hat to Fuji’s extensive film history by providing a range of classic film emulation modes to recreate popular films like PROVIA, Velvia, ASTIA as well as ETERNA and a range of monochrome adjustments. The camera includes a colour chrome effect mode for shots with bright colours to accurately portray the scene.

4K Video @60fps

The demand for video is only increasing and more and more photographers are asked to provide both stills and video for their clients. Fuji have recognised this demand and have equipped the X-T3 with ultra-high-resolution 4K video with a blistering 60p frame rate. This allows you to shoot video that can be played 2.4x slower without compromising video resolution.

4:2:0 10-Bit Colour Internal Recording

Ultra-high resolution 4K video can be captured directly onto an SD card with 4:2:0 chroma subsampling and this is possible in glorious 10-Bit colour. This allows for more authentic looking video with natural and faithful colour rendition.

Supports External Recorders for 4:2:2 10-Bit Video

But it doesn’t end there, the X T3 also provides the option to connect an external recorder like an Atomos or similar, to capture 4K video with 10-Bit colour but with significantly improved 4:2:2 subsampling.

Flat F-Log Colour Profile

To enable video shooters to pull the maximum range of colour and brightness information off the image sensor the camera shoots a flat F-Log colour profile that once it has been colour graded, delivers an approximate 12-stops of dynamic range in 10-bit.

Ergonomic and Robust Body Design

Careful control over the style and shape of the mirrorless camera ensures that existing Fuji users will find the new camera familiar with some new features to enjoy, like the locking EVF diopter adjustment dial, a headphone and microphone input as well as dual SD card slots that allow you to create instant backups of your shots as you capture them.

The Fujifilm XT3 is a welcome new addition to the Fuji X-T family and introduces a plethora of cutting edge modern video and photo functions that continue to take the system in exciting new directions.
