The Canon EOS 760D is an impressive entry level DSLR that is easy to use and produces beautiful high quality images. Combining a high resolution 24.2 Megapixel APS-C sensor and Canon’s powerful DIGIC 6 processor alongside a slew of automatic shooting modes, you can be confident that your favourite moments will be captured in glorious detail with rich colour and contrast.
Rapid and Accurate Autofocus
Featuring a 19 point high precision autofocus system, the EOS 760D is able to continuously track moving subjects. The cross-type AF sensors ensure that images will be well in focus, especially handy when shooting at up to 5 frames per second in continuous mode.
Intuitive Live View Mode
When utilising the camera’s 3.0-inch Clear View II touch screen to compose photos or film movies in Live View mode, autofocus switches to the intelligent Hybrid CMOS AF III system, which achieves accurate and rapid focus. The one touch shooting mode makes it easy to take photographs via the touchscreen interface.
Tilting 3.0-inch Touchscreen LCD
The flip-out TFT LCD can easily be tilted up and down, enabling a range of artistic perspectives and angles. Reverse the screen fully to easily check whether group shots and selfies are framed just as you’d like. Reviewing photos is natural thanks to familiar two-finger touch gestures used for zooming and navigating images.
Full HD Movie Capability
Full HD Movie recording at up to 1920x1080 resolution is perfect for recording those story-telling moments in life that need more than an image. For budding videographers who require higher quality settings, uncompressed HDMI external recording is available and a microphone input and headphone out included for high fidelity sound and movie production quality footage.
Ergonomic and Quick Access Controls
The 760D features a convenient LCD screen on the top of the camera which allows users to quickly review settings and ensure that each shot is optimally configured. The Intelligent Viewfinder, usually only found in Canon’s enthusiast model cameras, has also been included, which displays a variety of additional shooting information directly in the viewfinder. A rear Quick Control Dial has also been included which enables users to fluidly adjust settings mid shoot. Achieve full control over your camera without taking your eye off the action.
Wide ISO Range
The camera has a wide ISO range from 100-12,800 which allows you to keep shooting in almost any lighting scenario. Photographs will retain excellent detail whether shot indoors in artificial light, or at dawn or dusk. An integrated pop-up flash can be used at times where ambient light isn’t quite enough. The built-in flash also operates as a Canon Speedlite transmitter to remotely control Canon flashguns and wireless flash shooting.
Intelligent Automated Scene Settings
At the time of picture taking, the 760D is able to intelligently read a scene and automatically apply ideal camera settings via the Scene Intelligent Auto mode, letting you concentrate on capturing the moment. For users who wish to have finer control over exposure and other settings, full manual mode and RAW file selection is available.
When capturing scenic landscapes or photographs with the horizon in view, the 760D’s electronic level helps users achieve straight pictures every time.
Built-in Creative Pre-sets and Filters
Built in High Dynamic Range (HDR) mode can be enabled to capture detail from the darkest shadows and brightest highlights in any situation. Users can further explore their creativity via the included artistic filters and pre-sets such as toy camera, art bold, miniature and fisheye effects.
