The Atomos Shinobi is a super slim, compact 5.2-inch external monitor that allows you to check the framing, focus and exposure of your shot from virtually any angle. It is the perfect addition to any filmmaker or vlogger’s kit. The SDI version has both 3G-SDI and 4K HDMI inputs and just like the non SDI model supports custom LUTs, that makes it perfect for shooting with log profiles. Weighing less than 200g, the Shinobi SDI is ideal for filmmakers on-the-go.

Massive 5.2-inch Screen with Touch Function

Almost twice the size of most LCD screens found on the back of cameras, the Shinobi SDI is 5.2-inches in size making it easier to compose your shots. The touchscreen function makes it quick and intuitive to change settings, while a special anti-fingerprint coating reduces smudges so you can always see what you’re doing.

Compact and Super Portable

Atomos have focused on keeping the form factor of the Shinobi SDI as small as possible, resulting in one of the lightest monitors ever at only 226g. The lightweight build means the monitor is perfect for mounting on gimbals and handheld rigs. It offers great functionality and features without the extra bulk to carry around

Atomos Monitoring Tools

The Shinobi SDI is packed with tools like peaking, zebra and false colour guides as well as waveform, RGB parade, vectorscope and a 4:1 zoom, to help you get the most out of your shoot. The monitor includes customisable frame guides and a SMPTE safe area overlay to ensure your productions are broadcast ready. An anamorphic de-squeeze mode ensure that the Shinobi SDI is more than capable of handling big productions.

Atomos Analysis View

A new analysis view can display shooting guides like scopes, histograms, audio levels and more to make the Shinobi a super-versatile monitor. This allows you to see your tools without compromising shot visibility with overlays.

Bright 1000nit Display

Boasting an impressive 1000 nit brightness rating and an anti-reflective coating, the Shinobi SDI lets you see your shots clearly, even in bright sunny conditions. The brightness, combined with a super sharp 447ppi resolution equips the monitor to display HDR video, future-proofing the monitor for today’s everchanging media landscape.

High Dynamic Range More Than 10 Stops

With support for HDR, Log, and HLG the Shinobi SDI can display a super-wide dynamic range of more than 10 stops with a Full HD resolution. The monitor is compatible with .cube files to produce a live LUT display for a more accurate preview of how the graded footage will look, making it easier to judge exposure and white balance when shooting log.

Compatible with Sony NP Style Batteries

Powered by the ever-popular N-style batteries, the monitor supports 2600mAh, 5200mAh or 7800mAh capacities. This gives you the option to pack light for small gigs or grab bigger batteries to shoot for longer, with the 7800mAh battery delivering up to 6 hours of shooting time.
