All cameras and accessories are guaranteed purchased new from authorised distributors in Australia. All cameras and accessories supplied are covered by the standard manufacturer's Australian warranties.

Digital Camera Warehouse definitely does not deal in any ‘grey market’, ‘direct import’ or so called ‘international versions’ of goods. All cameras and accessories are sourced from authorised distribution channels with original Australian warranties.

Faulty products need to be returned to the registered supplier in Australia for repair/replacement under warranty.

What is your Returns Policy?

Like any other retail shop, under Consumer Protection Law, we are not obliged to accept returns for "change of mind" or if you order incorrectly. Please choose carefully.

Refunds, Returns and Exchanges

We generally do not refund, return or exchange an item once it has been purchased unless the product is faulty.  Any decision to refund or exchange an item is at our discretion.  Please contact us on 1300 365 220 to discuss.

Faulty Products

Faulty products can be returned to us if still covered by the manufacturer's warranty or as per Australian Consumer Law.

If you believe the product you have purchased from us has a manufacturing fault you can:


  • Call customer service on 1300 365 220 to discuss the issue and obtain a Return Authority (RA) number
  • e-mail us at customerservice@digitalcamerawarehouse.com.au to communicate the issue and obtain a Return Authority number
  • Return the product to one of our stores (please note: photo ID will be required)

If you are not returning the faulty goods to one of our stores, it is essential that you receive an RA number prior to sending the goods to us.  An item must be returned with all the original accessories and components.  Proof of purchase in the form of a DCW invoice must be provided.  Any return sent to us without an approved RA number may be immediately returned to you. 

Products that show signs of physical damage such as scratches, dents, cracks or any indication of impact may be refused.

Incorrect Choice / Change of mind

Under Australian Consumer Law, we are not obliged to accept returns for "change of mind" or "incorrect choice". Please choose carefully.  At our discretion we may agree to exchange incorrectly ordered accessories.  If an exchange is approved a 15% restocking fee will apply.  Any freight and insurance costs to return the item to us are at your expense.  This includes the liability for any lost freight so we suggest sending via registered post.

We cannot accept the return of non-faulty items from the following categories under any circumstances:

  • Cameras, Lenses and other electronic items
  • Studio Equipment
  • DVDs, Software and Books
  • Printer Cartridges or Paper
  • Products that are purchased as a Special Order Item
  • Print Items
In the event a refund is applicable, a credit to the card or account originally used to pay for the goods will be processed by DCW within 7 days of the matter being resolved.
