Guess who just became my "local" camera store??
About the only suggestion I'd make would be to
email the con-note number on shipment, but that's a small concern.

"Bought a Canon A720 IS, 2 gig Sandisk SD, Monfrotto monopod and
upgraded the warranty to 5 years. Ordered on 11 December, received the
camera and all assessories (except warranty documents) 17 December -
considering this is the week before Xmas, that's still fast! Phoned the
shop to check stock level before ordering via the website, the young
lady on the phone was very friendly and helpful and also made me aware
that I could buy a slower (and cheaper) SD for this particular camera.
The goods were packed safely and arrived undamaged. I'm quite impressed
with the camera! My previous camera was a Powershot A75 which I really
liked. It broke down after 2 1/2 years of use - I had extended the
warranty to 3 years, so that was lucky. The A720 as the A75 has the
option of adjusting pretty much everything manually and that was
something I wanted in the new camera as well. The A720's 6x optical
zoom, image stabilizer and other features are such a big step forward
from the A75! I'm still exploring. The A75 was a bit slow in taking the
picture, especially photographing moving objects was tricky - the A720
is much faster (still not as fast as the old 35mm cameras, though). The
colors are brilliant and correct as you expect from Canon. The setup
menus have a lot more items compared to the old camera, but the
structure is the same, so I felt "at home" immediately. I am very happy
with the camera and Digitalcamerawarehouse's service. I reocmmend the
camera and the recommend the shop!" |

starter kit and 2Gb extreme SD card. the camera is super,
takes great shots especislly close up macro ones. the
service from DCW is excellent with quick processing and
prompt follow up if there is part of your order temporarily
out of stock (as was my case). this was sorted immediately

year. All cameras have been in service since then with adult
community education groups in NE Victoria and the feedback
we are getting is uniformly excellent. Most are being used
in digital story telling involving their still shot capacity
and video capabilities. Most of the users are far from
expert but all report no difficulties. Your prompt
efficient service was fantastic - three days from placing
the order to delivery! The pricing on our bulk order meant
we were able to purchase 23 cameras rather than the 16 we
originally thought we could afford, thus significantly
extending the scope of the adult education programs we were
