Superior image quality - Three glass mould aspherical lenses allow the lens to be compact and lightweight, and provide excellent correction for distortion and field curvature. It provides high image quality throughout the frame. The inner focusing system corrects the fluctuation of aberration to maintain image quality regardless of the focusing position.
Super Multi-Layer Coating - Sigma’s Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting and provides high contrast images even in backlit conditions.
Superior telecentric optical design - The superior telecentric optical design improves the image quality throughout the frame.
Newly developed linear AF motor - This lens benefits from a newly developed linear AF motor which moves the lens unit directly without the need for gears or the drive of other mechanical parts. This system ensures accurate and quiet autofocusing, making the lens suitable for video recording as well as still photos.
Rounded diaphragm - The rounded 7 blade diaphragm creates an attractive blur.
Convenient handling - The wider focus ring ensures improved usability when manually focusing.
Minimum focusing distance of 20cm - This lens has a minimum focusing distance of 30cm and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:7.4.
