The Nikon 1 V1 is a highly compact interchangeable lens camera with outstanding image quality, speed and performance, plus a groundbreaking design that features a very clean and easy-to-use layout. The camera boasts super high-speed auto focus plus Expeed 3 dual processors that allow capture of full-resolution photos at 60 frames per second, making the V1 an extremely fast and responsive piece of gear that can snap even the most fleeting of moments! This twin kit comes with the Nikon 1 V1 camera body + 1 Nikkor 10-30mm f/3.5-5.6 VR Lens.

Movie Feature – captures Full HD movies with stereo audio up to 1920x1080 resolution at 60 frames per second. Also records high-speed movies up to 1,200 frames per second.

* We recommend using class 4 or higher memory cards for recording high definition video. SDHC Memory Cards and SDXC Memory Cards can be used only in equipment that is compatible with their respective formats.

Super High-speed AF CMOS Sensor – New 10 Megapixel CMOS image sensor that incorporates Phase-detection Autofocus that boasts exceptionally fast and very precise AF, as well as delivering very good image quality for both stills and HD movies. Wide ISO sensitivity range produces great results in low-light.

Fastest AF + Most Focus Points in the World - Phase-detection AF tracks and captures fast-moving subjects in sharp, crystal-clear focus. Secondly, the focal plane phase-detection AF effectively positions 73 points that can recognize moving subjects in a plane to ensure super-accurate focusing. The Advanced Hybrid AF system automatically selects contrast-detect AF mode in poorly lit scenes so the camera is capable of taking on almost any focusing challenge!

World's Fastest Continuous Shooting up to Max.60fps - You can continuously capture images at approx. 10 fps with AF Tracking or up to a blazing 60fps*. Capture the perfect moment, great for shooting fast-moving subjects like sports, kids, animals.
* focus is locked on the position detected in the first frame.

Expeed 3 Image Processor – Behind the blazing speed of the Nikon 1 is EXPEED 3 with dual image processors. With 1GB of DDR2 RAM onboard, the camera can deliver an unprecedented amount of processing power, allowing very fast data transfer rates. This is the key to its super-fast autofocus system, high-speed continuous and movie shooting and exceptionally snappy performance in all respects.

Simple Operability - Nikon 1 represents the pinnacle of usability. With an intuitively simplified mode dial, the only buttons on the top of the camera are the power switch, shutter-release button, and movie-record button for extremely simple operability.

High-resolution, High-contrast Electronic Viewfinder - Nikon 1 V1 features an ample 1.44M-dot high-resolution electronic viewfinder with an approx.100% frame coverage.
The exclusive colour filter prevents colour breakup. The EVF effectively and seamlessly reproduces moving subjects.

Crystal Clear High-Resolution LCD Monitor – the Nikon 1 V1 is equipped with an approx. 920k-dot, 3-inch LCD monitor with protective glass and a wide viewing angle for exceptional performance when framing or reviewing your photos.

Super-silent Electronic Shutter - Turn off the electronic sounds of the shutter, AF, and self-timer. Now you can shoot in stage theatres and other quiet settings without making a sound. (The Nikon 1 V1 has both mechanical and electronic shutter mechanism).

Scene Auto Selector – Automatically selects the optimal shooting mode for the detected scene and subject. Frees you up from camera settings to enable you to concentrate on your subject and framing.

Active D-Lighting - optimizes the balance of high-contrast scenes to restore details lost under strong lighting, or in shadows, allowing you to capture scenes with natural results.

Picture Control - choose from Standard, Neutral, Vivid, Monochrome, Portrait, and Landscape. Sharpen an image, or create a more vivid image by adjusting the saturation.

Motion Snapshot - The desired moment will be captured as a still image and also as a movie vignette. The movie vignette will play back in dramatic, 2.5x slow motion

Smart Photo Selector - Never miss those picture-perfect moments again. In this mode just hit the shutter and the camera will automatically take a total of 20 shots before and after you press the shutter-release button at a high speed of 30fps.

Simultaneously Capture Full HD (1080p) Movies and Photos - Start recording at the touch of a button. See a moment you'd like as a still? Hit the shutter. Autofocus keeps everything in focus, even when working double-duty to record movies and photos.

Slow Motion Movie - At 400fps you can capture each flap of a bird's wings and at 1,200fps you can capture every spark of a fireworks display. With this camera's Slow Motion Movie, you can make new discoveries everywhere you look.

Dust Reduction System – features a vibrating image sensor that removes dust by shaking it off. Ensures your images are not marred by dust spots on the sensor.

MiniHDMI Connection – enjoy your fullHD movies and photos on a HDTV utilizing an optional miniHDMI to HDMI cable (sold separately)

ViewNX 2 - Your Imaging Toolbox – Everything you need to organize, edit and share your photos is available with the supplied ViewNX 2 software.

Movie Editing Software - Short Movie Creator - Shares the joy of editing movies by making it fun and easy for all. Simply install the Short Movie Creator software included with the camera onto your PC.

Multi-accessory Port – connect a range of optional accessories to your camera directly or via the optional Multi Accessory Port Adapter AS-N1000* (sold separately). You can connect optional Speedlights, GPS unit, External Microphone.

* depending on the accessory, please check compatibility first

1 Nikkor Lenses – A growing selection of light and highly compact 1 Nikkor lenses that exhibit excellent characteristics, deliver outstanding image quality and feature silent autofocus for movie recording as well as blur-stopping VR (Vibration Reduction).

FT-1 F-mount Lens Adapter – Sold separately, the FT-1 lens adapter allows you to use a whole host of legacy Nikkor lenses with your 1-series camera.
