The Canon IXUS 220 HS is the world’s slimmest digital camera to feature a 24mm wide angle lens and 5x Optical Zoom. It is perfect for low-light situations thanks to its 12.1 Megapixel High Sensitivity CMOS Sensor. FULL HD movie recording is included as well as new Creative Filters that allow you to add expressive flair to your images in-camera. A host of smart features including Intelligent Auto and Smart Shutter make achieving great shots a simple process. Movie Feature – captures full high definition video with audio up to 1920x1080 at 24fps, or 1280x720 at 30fps. Also features super slow-motion video at 120 or 240 fps (frames per second), miniature effect, and dynamic image stabilisation. Recording length is up to capacity of memory card*. * SDHC Memory Cards and SDXC Memory Cards can be used only in equipment that is compatible with their respective formats. We recommend class 4 or higher memory cards for recording high definition video.

| What are the features and how will they benefit you? 12.1 Megapixel High Sensitivity CMOS Sensor – allows you to capture amazing photos even in low-light situations 24mm Wide-Angle 5x Optical Zoom Lens – Genuine Canon lens with 5x Optical Zoom and 24mm wide-angle lens allows you to get closer or shoot beautiful landscapes and great group shots. DIG!C 4 - Canon's newest processor gives you clearer images with more vibrant colours, fast start-up time, super-fast image processing, and low power consumption. 2.7 inch LCD Screen - A clear 2.7” LCD Screen allows you to preview and share those true-to-life photos. Creative Filters - Shoot with creative filters for an added effect: Fish Eye, Miniature, Toy Camera, Monochrome, Super Vivid, Poster, Colour Accent and Colour Swap effects are available. Intelligent Auto (32 scenes) - Improved Auto mode in both photo and video mode makes it even easier to get the perfect shot. Servo AF / Servo AE – Tracks your subject and locks the focus and exposure on the target. Face Detection – focuses and sets correct exposure on faces rather than other objects that may appear in the frame. Also includes face detection self timer for when you want to be in the shot too.
Smart Shutter – Includes a number of intelligent features such as Face Detection Self-timer, Smile Shutter and Wink Self Timer. Optical Image Stabilisation - counteracts blurred images due to shaky hands or when shooting in low-light conditions. Also important at full zoom where a small movement of the hand can cause a lot of movement at the other end. ISO to 3200 - this will help you take better photos in low lighting – reduces blur caused by camera shake or subject movement. Intelligent Flash Exposure - Automatically detects whether flash is required and adjusts the flash output, shutter speed, aperture and ISO speed to best suit the photo being taken. Red Eye Correction - this camera lets you fix red eyes in the camera, which is great if you're printing straight from the memory card or to a pictbridge compatible printer. Blink Detection – warns you when someone blinks in the photo you have just taken High Speed Burst Mode – shoot still photos up to 8.0fps (frames per second). Great for capturing action shots. Mini HDMI output - High Definition movies can be viewed easily on a TV with optional mini HDMI -> HDMI cable (sold separately). |
