With a 14 Megapixel sensor and Fujinon 10x optical zoom lens with 28mm wide-angle incorporated in a sleek & stylish looking body, the Fujifilm Finepix JZ500 combines a great feature set with an affordable price point. Featuring new Face Recognition technology to achieve great results when taking portrait shots, the JZ500 also has automatic dog/cat detection that will recognise and set correct focus and exposure when photographing your pets. Also featuring a bright 2.7” LCD Screen, SR Auto for simplified operation, Dual Image Stabilisation to help ensure sharp shots, plus 720p HD Movies for stunning video capture and playback, the JZ500 is a great little all-rounder. Movie Feature – captures video with audio up to 1280x720 resolution at 24 frames per second. Continuous recording up to 2gb file size, or capacity of card; whichever occurs first. You can fit about 42 mins of footage at full resolution on a 8gb SDHC* memory card.

14 Megapixel – delivers photo quality prints up to A3+ size.
10x Optical Zoom with 28mm Wide Angle Fujinon Lens - wide-angle 10x zoom lens allows you to capture sweeping landscapes, tight interior shots or capture great group shots, as well as zoom in to distant subjects.
Dual Image Stabilisation – CCD Shift plus electronic stabilisation both work to counteract blurred images due to shaky hands, subject movement or when shooting in low-light conditions. Also important at full zoom where a small movement of the hand can cause a lot of movement at the other end.
SR Auto – Scene Recognition Auto mode automatically selects from 6 different scene modes and instantly fine tunes exposure, focus, sensitivity, and white balance. Makes shooting great pics easy without having to fiddle with camera settings and menus.
Face Detection with Face Recognition – focuses and sets correct exposure on faces (up to 10) rather than other objects that may appear in the frame. Allows you to set up to eight pre-registered faces that are prioritised for focus and exposure. Face Recognition also lets you group and sort your photos by your registered faces.
Auto Dog/Cat Detection - Working in a similar way to Face Detection, Auto Dog / Cat Detection recognizes the faces of cats or dogs and optimises the camera's settings for wonderful pet pictures.
Natural Light plus Flash – takes 2 shots in quick succession; one with flash, and one without. You choose which one you like best!
Red Eye Correction - this camera lets you fix red eyes in the camera, which is great if you're printing straight to a pictbridge compatible printer or directly from a memory card.
2.7” 230K LCD Screen – large, bright LCD monitor makes it easy to compose great photos and fun to playback and share images. Also Micro Thumbnail View lets you navigate, view and select from up to 100 photos, displayed in a 10 x 10 array.
Tracking Autofocus - Keeps fast moving subjects in the frame and in focus, even when the zoom is fully extended. Great for capturing animals, fish, kids, sports.
Image Search - With the convenient Image Search function, you can search pictures by Date, by Face, by Scene and by Type of Data.
Optional HDTV Connection Kit - Combining an HD card reader and a remote control, the optional HDP-L1 connection kit (sold separately) makes it easy to display photos and movies on your HDTV. |
