What are the features and how will they benefit you? |
|
Dual Image Stabilisation – Power O.I.S. optical and digital technology works together to double the amount of correction as Mega O.I.S. to prevent blurred images due to shaky hands, subject movement, or when shooting in low-light conditions - important at full zoom where a small movement of the hand can cause a lot of movement at the other end. Lumix 25mm Wide-Angle 12x Optical Zoom Lens – cover a wide range of shooting situations (25-300mm) from wide-angle to capture more in your image, to telephoto where you can zoom up close to very distant objects.
iA (Intelligent Auto) – Automatically adjusts your camera for a range of different shooting situations and includes such features as face detection, intelligent scene selection, intelligent ISO, motion detection, and Power O.I.S. image stabilisation - get great shots without having to fiddle around with menus, modes etc.
Face Detection AF/AE - detects and recognizes faces (up to 6) and automatically optimizes the focus and exposure settings. It prevents blurry faces that happen when the camera focuses on something in front of or behind the subject, and keeps faces from appearing dark when shooting indoors or against a light source.
2.7” LCD Screen – High resolution screen with wide viewing angle, automatic brightness adjustment and anti-reflective coating. Great for outdoors use.
Venus Engine VI – features advanced noise reduction for better handling of image “noise” or grain.
Sonic Speed AF - has a maximum speed of approx. 0.35 second for auto focusing*. You can quickly get moving subjects in focus, such as when you're shooting sports scenes.
AF Tracking/Subject Detection - Once you focus on your subject, the AF Tracking automatically tracks it until you press the shutter, keeping moving subjects in focus – great for kids, pets, sports etc.
Motion Detection - detects subject movement and automatically adjusts the ISO setting and shutter speed to best suit the movement and light conditions – further helps prevent blurred shots.
Fast Start Up - ultra high-speed start-ups of approx. 1.12 seconds.
Less Shutter Lag - The shutter release time lag is as short as approx. 0.005 second, making it easy to capture sudden, spur-of-the-moment photo opportunities.
Auto Backlight Compensation - When there is strong backlighting, the background appears nice and bright, but the subject is dark. This function detects backlight conditions and compensates for it automatically.
Extended Battery Life – expect to get around 340 shots from the supplied rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery.
Mega Burst Consecutive Shooting - lets you snap off consecutive shots at approx. 2.3 frames per second at full resolution.
P/A/S/M Manual Modes – adjust shutter and aperture settings manually with dedicated settings on mode dial for greater creativity.
High Dynamic Mode - helps to capture a scene with moderate exposure even though the scene contains both bright and dark areas together such as when there is strong sunlight and deep shadows.
PHOTOfunSTUDIO 5.1 HD Edition – supplied with the camera with this software you can sort images by recognized faces, enjoy slideshows with music that you can burn to DVD disc, upload movies directly to YouTube™ even in HD quality. It also lets you create a 360-degree rotation panorama file in MOV format. |
