Electronic Vibration Reduction (VR) - Digital compensation is applied with image processing to images in which the camera detects blur.
Easy Auto Mode with Scene Auto Selector - simplifies your picture-taking experience by letting the camera automatically select the best setting to get great pictures.
Motion Detection - camera detects camera shake and subject movement, and automatically compensates by controlling shutter speed and ISO sensitivity to control blurring.
Best Shot Selector (BSS) - automatically takes up to 10 shots while the shutter is pressed and saves the sharpest image.
Smart Portrait System– Complete range of automated functions for great portrait shots including: Red-eye Fix, Face Priority AF, Blink Warning, D-Lighting and Skin Softening for smooth skin tones.
Red-Eye Fix - automatically analyzes the captured image for the presence of red-eye and corrects it before saving the image to memory – great if printing from the memory card or directly from the camera to printer using PictBridge.
Face Priority AF – focuses and sets correct exposure on faces rather than other objects that may appear in the frame.
Blink Warning – displays a warning message if someone in the frame has their eyes closed.
D-Lighting - rescues underexposed images or shots taken with excessive backlight by adding light and detail where necessary while leaving correctly-exposed areas untouched.
12 Megapixels – allows you to print large, enlarge and crop aggressively whilst maintaining image quality.
