Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W230 Digital Camera - 12.1 Megapixel

The Cyber-shot DSCW230 is a high performing camera with user-friendly functionality. A large 3.0" LCD screen and a wide range of convenient features are within these stylish cameras, making great photography easy. Its 12.1 mega pixel resolution enables you to capture incredible detail, produce large size prints and crop your photos without sacrificing quality. The wide angle (30mm) Carl Zeiss lens gives you greater flexibility when composing your shots and is a perfect camera for any number of shooting situations.  NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

Movie Feature – captures video with audio up to 640 x 480 resolution at 30 frames per second.

What are the features and how will they benefit you?

Optical Image Stabilisation plus High ISO – dual image stabilising technology works to counteract blurred images due to shaky hands, subject movement, or when shooting in low-light conditions or at full zoom. Face Detection – focuses and sets correct exposure for faces (up to 8) rather than other picture elements that might be in the foreground or background. Also has child priority. Carl Zeiss 30mm Wide Angle Lens – capture more in your shot with this high quality Carl Zeiss wide-angle zoom lens – great for group shots, indoors, landscapes, architecture. 12.1 Megapixel Sensor – print up to A2 size or crop your images whilst maintaining enough image quality to print 6x4. Intelligent Scene Recognition - automatically detects five different types of scene conditions and within 1/30th of a second selects the appropriate camera settings – saves fiddling with menus. Red-eye Correction – By using the retouch function, red eyes can be fixed in-camera with the push of a button – great if you are printing directly form the camera or memory card. Smile Shutter – when in this mode camera automatically takes a photo when it detects a subject’s smile in the frame. Function Guide – help beginners navigate the camera’s functions and settings by displaying descriptions of chosen functions on the LCD screen. Dynamic Range Optimiser (DRO) – automatically optimises exposure for high –contrast scenes such as backlit portraits to prevent under exposure. 13 Scene Selection Modes – 13 scene modes allow you to quickly adjust for a wide range of specific shooting conditions. Full HD 1080 (still image) Output – View your still images on a HDTV in glorious full HD 1920x1080 using the optional VMC-HD2 cable (sold separately).
