The Canon PowerShot SX200 IS incorporates a flexible 28mm wide angle lens with 12x optical zoom and Optical Image Stabilizer. It sports a huge 3 inch PureColour II LCD and High Definition movie recording in a slim and compact body. The 12.1MP sensor, DiG!C 4 image processor with Intelligent Auto, and advanced face detection with blink detection make the SX200 IS the perfect travel companion. With the new Intelligent Auto mode you can take photos while letting the camera adjust the optimum settings; detecting faces and scenes (macro, backlit, sunset etc) ensuring you get the perfect shot. Movie Feature – captures High Definition video with audio at 1280 x 720 resolution at 30 frames per second. Continuous recording up to capacity of card (10 min 53 seconds on a 2gb card at HD 720p ). HDMI terminal allows easy connection to your HDTV or DVD/DVR recorder. H.264 format makes it easy to upload to social networks.

DIG!C IV - Canon's newest processor gives you clearer images with more vibrant colours, fast start-up time, super-fast image processing, and low power consumption.
Optical Image Stabilisation - counteracts blurred images due to shaky hands or when shooting in low-light conditions. Also important at full zoom where a small movement of the hand can cause a lot of movement at the other end.
ISO to 3200 - this will help you take better photos in low lighting – reduces blur caused by camera shake.
Intelligent Auto - New Auto mode with Scene Detection, Face Detection, Motion Detection and Noise Reduction makes it even easier to get the perfect shot.
Face Detection – focuses and sets correct exposure on faces rather than other objects that may appear in the frame.
Blink Detection – gives warning signal when detecting closed eyes in the photo just taken.
