The new Olympus Zuiko Digital 9-18mm ultra-wide angle zoom lens provides DSLR photographers with outstanding wide-angle optical quality at an affordable price. It covers the classic 18mm, 20mm, 24mm, 28mm and the 35mm focal lengths (in 35mm film equivalent) in one convenient and super compact package.
A unique Dual Super Aspherical (DSA) front element effectively reduces the number of lens elements required in more conventional ultra-wide zoom designs, thereby delivering outstandingly high contrast as well as providing significant weight reduction. ED glass elements further help to reduce optical aberrations to a minimum.
Floating lens groups ensure that close-range and far away subjects are captured with equally high image quality with sharp edge-to-edge performance at all focus distances.
The new 9-18mm manifests the Olympus Four-Thirds design maxim of outstanding imaging quality with class leading compactness. It measures 73cm long and weighs in at just 280 grams.
