What are the features and how will they benefit you? |
|
Dual Image Stabilisation – mechanical (optical) and digital technology works together to counteract blurred images due to shaky hands, subject movement, or when shooting in low-light conditions. Important at full zoom where a small movement of the hand can cause a lot of movement at the other end. Face Detection - focuses on faces rather than other picture elements that might be in the foreground or background. Smile Shot - automatically takes 3 photos high-speed whenever a smile is detected in frame ensuring you’ll never miss the perfect moment again. ISO to 6400 - this will help you take better photos in low lighting; reduces blur. Perfect Fix Editing – edit in-camera to retouch blurred images, light underexposed or shadowy areas of images, correct red-eye – great if you are printing directly to a printer. Perfect Shot Preview – previews the shot live in the LCD with various effects added before you take it - preview up to four frames at once and select the best setting. Shadow Adjustment Technology - brightens shadowy areas in a composition without overexposing the brighter areas. Super Macro - take stunning close-ups as near as 1cm away from subject. Dioptric Correction – adjusts the viewfinder to suit your eyesight. |

Olympus Says:
World's Biggest Zoom
With an 18x zoom range that extends from 27mm wide angle to 486mm super telephoto the SP-560UZ covers the widest focal-length range of any compact digital camera in the world today.
Thanks to its super telephoto power, users can capture the look of concentration on a football player's face as he prepares for a penalty kick, or the smiles of children waiting for the start of a school athletic event. By combining the power of an 18x optical zoom lens with the digital zoom function, users can enjoy up to 100x zoom (2700mm) which is even powerful enough to capture frame-filling images of the moon.
Dual Shakeproof Image Stabilisation
To reduce camera shake and subject motion blurring that tend to be a problem at high telephoto settings, the SP-560UZ is also equipped with state-of-the-art Sensor-Shift Image Stabilisation and high ISO sensitivity Digital Image Stabilisation for perfect image clarity.
A new dual-axis gyro sensor accurately detects camera shake and prevents blur by shifting the CCD sensor to compensate. In addition, high ISO sensitivity enables 8.0 megapixel imaging at sensitivities up to ISO 6400 to help reduce blurring caused by camera shake or moving subjects. As a result, users experience fewer missed shots when working in low light or with active subjects, and can obtain sharper, clearer images even at high telephoto settings.
Face Detection, Shadow Adjust and TruePic III Image Processor
Olympus Face Detection and Shadow Adjust ensures sharp focus on the subject's face, and displays a green frame on the LCD monitor to indicate when faces are detected. It also recognises when there are no people in the frame, and automatically adjusts the focus and exposure accordingly. The result of the adjustments is displayed in real-time on the LCD screen, making it easy for users to see how the main subject and background will appear in the captured image.
The outstanding TruePic III image processor, originally developed for use in Olympus E-410 and E-510 digital SLRs, reduces noise, detects jagged edges to reproduce them smoothly and reliably reproduces even pale colours, including skin tones. It works in conjunction with the camera's high-resolution lens and 8.0 megapixel image sensor to achieve truly exceptional image quality.
World's fastest high-speed continuous shooting
Thanks to the high speed of its CCD sensor response, the SP-560UZ offers the world's fastest continuous shooting speed of 15 frames per second. It's a great way to capture football goals, golf swings, or any other fast-moving subject, and enables users to pick the best shot from the series. The maximum number of frames that can be taken at this speed has also been increased from 20 to 40, enabling longer shooting sequences than ever before.
In addition, the Pre-Capture function reduces the number of missed photo opportunities by automatically capturing 10 frames in the camera's buffer memory immediately prior to shutter release.
