PocketWizard MultiMAX Transceiver (433mHz)
PocketWizard’s MultiMAX Transceiver contains many of the features found in the PocketWizard Plus II including advanced wireless transceiver technology, multi-channel switching, sustained 12 frames-per-second high-speed triggering, and a range of up to 1600 feet (488m) between transceivers. Add to this mix the ability to isolate individual or groups of lights for multiple and/or selective lighting sequences aided by a choice of thirty-two 16-bit, digitally coded channels (up from four in the PocketWizard Plus II). Now the fun begins.
For time-lapse imaging, MultiMAX’s trigger time control software includes an Intervalometer for recording timed sequences of up to 10,000 exposures over a time period of 100 hours. Multi-pop shooting - up to 10,000 exposures. Rear-curtain sync mode will capture ambient streaks of light at slow shutter speeds even for cameras that do not have this feature. Each PocketWizard MultiMAX features an easy-to-read, backlit LCD display for fast settings confirmation under any lighting condition. The SpeedCycler mode enables sequential triggering of up to 4 individual or sets of cameras or light sources for high speed sequential image capture from multiple camera positions as a method of further ‘reducing’ recycling times between exposures.
The PocketWizard MultiMAX is compact, with a short, unobtrusive, rubberized antenna. The total height of the transceiver and antenna is less than 6.5”, and it weighs in at 6oz including the batteries. The backlit keypad is also rubberized, and has a lock button that secures your pre-established settings when you’re working fast and furious. To ensure a secure fit to your camera or bracket, all PocketWizards feature sturdy, locking rings for hot shoes. Power is supplied by 2 AA batteries, which are good for about 60 hours of playtime. An optional AC adapter allows for continuous, unlimited shoot time.
NB: Our PocketWizards use the 433mhz frequency which is NOT the same as the US spec PocketWizard which uses 344.04mhz. In Australia the maximum output power in the 344mhz frequency is limited to 10 "microwatt". PocketWizards output at 1 "milliwatt" which renders US spec PocketWizards legally inoperable in Australia. Each PocketWizard is a single unit that acts as either a transmitter or receiver. Two or more PocketWizards are required to trigger off-camera flash units or other cameras.

* Specifications subject to change by the manufacturer without notice
Note: PocketWizard Digital Radio Triggering systems may be used only in countries where a permit for the control frequency has been issued by the government office in charge. Specifications are subject to change without notice.
· Fast set-up times - Simply power up, choose a channel, connect a flash cable and you're good to go.
· Miniphone connector cables are available for all major brands of lighting equipment in a variety of lengths of up to 16’. A variety of dedicated cables are also available for triggering cameras.
· A choice of thirty-two 16-bit digitally coded channels makes it possible to trigger all of your lights simultaneously, or individually, by isolating selected groups of lights from another for more complex lighting scenarios. Multi-Channel Switching is also useful to isolate your lights from nearby lighting systems when shooting in close proximity to other radio transmitting devices. Multi-channel switching enables you choose from thirty-two, 16-bit digitally coded channels when working in overlapping or ‘noisy’ work environments.
· Selective Quad Triggering allows you to isolate up to four specific groups of lights and/or cameras for controlled firing sequences with audio and sound ‘trip’ confirmation.
· True Trigger Confirmation verifies each successful trigger as well as let you know if there was a misfire along the chain via audio and/or visual confirmation signals.
· An easy-to-read backlit LCD display allows for quick setting adjustments as well as confirmation of camera and flash status. Data is displayed using alphanumeric icons that indicate channel selections and lock status, battery life, work mode, and trigger confirmation – audio and/or visual - after each exposure. As an added safety measure, the keypad can be locked to eliminate ‘surprises’ along the way.
· Lag Time Equalizer software measures the reaction time between the moment your camera receives the trigger signal to the moment the shutter actually fires. This lag time is then factored into the equation when synchronizing single or multiple cameras and strobes to fire in unison, with measurable accuracy down to 1/10,000th of a second.
· Sports and action shooters will appreciate the ability to trigger lights or cameras at a sustained rate of up to 12 Frames-Per-Second, which outpaces any currently available consumer camera.
· Ultra-fast microprocessors enabling trigger-response times as short as 1/3000th of a second allowing for reliable top-end sync speeds of 1/500th for focal plane shutters and 1/1000th for leaf shutters.
· SpeedCycler mode enables sequential triggering of up to four individual or sets of cameras or light sources for high speed sequential image capture from multiple camera positions or reduced recycle time between exposures.
· Creative blur effects can be created using the Rear Curtain Sync feature, which fires the flash at the end of the exposure. This enables the ‘blur trails’ to follow the subject rather than precede it, which lends a far more natural, or logical look to the image. Pre-programmed shutter speeds can be set for speeds of 1/60th of a second to a full second, with precision down to 1/10,000 of a second.
· Thoroughly compatible with older PocketWizard transmitters and receivers.
Equally important is the fact that MultiMAX and PocketWizard Plus II communicates fluently with all PocketWizard-enabled photo gear for maximum flexibility on the job.
