Rode NTG-2 Shotgun Microphone
The new RODE NTG-2 is a lightweight condenser shotgun microphone, designed for professional applications within the film, video, television and production industries.
Requires optional Rode Shock Mount #SM-3 for mounting to video cameras with standard hot shoe.
The NTG-2 provides a balanced low impedance output stage and operates either from an internal 1.5 V battery (AA) or 48 V to the P48 standard. A wide bandwidth and controlled polar response coupled with low noise SMT electronics, makes the NTG-2 the perfect choice for film, video engineering and voice-over work.
The NTG-2 has many uses; It can be mounted on video cameras using either the on-board camera mic mounts or the optional shock mount. The NTG-2 is also suitable as a boom mounted mic for film and video use where it is desirable to get closer to the sound source yet still be out of the shot. Another area where the NTG-2 excels is in a live sound situation, used to great effect as a ‘crowd mic’ when doing a live band recording. The ability to power the mic by 48V phantom or an internal AA 1.5v battery is also a great feature. - Broadcast sound quality
