The Ricoh Caplio R5 Digital Camera combines 7.2 megapixels with a 7.1 x Wide Optical Zoom (28-200mm equiv) and a 2.5 inch LCD. This compact digital camera features a 1.1 second start up and a 1cm Macro Mode. The battery supplied with the Ricoh R5 will charge the camera for approx 330 shots before it needs to be recharged. RRP $399. No longer available.
Special Features:
- New Auto Resize Zoom: Unlike traditional zoom features the Caplio R5 can digitally zoom images with minimal deterioration. It achieves this by effectively cropping the large 7 megapixel processed image in camera creating an image of high resolution but of reduced image size.
- The Caplio R5 enjoys marked noise reduction and improved edge to edge clarity even up to high sensitivity ISO 1600 thanks to the installation of the new Smooth Image Engine II.
- The Caplio R5's image stabiliser ‘Vibration Correction’ suppresses image shake for a clear, steady shot, a critical feature given the Caplio R5’s big zoom capacity.
Movie Feature - The Ricoh Caplio R5 allows you to record movies with sound at 15 or 30 frames per second, limited in length by the capacity of the memory card used.
