Panasonic have announced they will be releasing the world’s first camera utilising the recently-revealed Micro Four Thirds interchangeable lens system - The Lumix DMC-G1. The system does away with the traditional viewfinder prism and mirror system common to all SLR cameras in favour of an electronic viewfinder and liveview LCD monitor allowing for a much more compact design.

Panasonic Japan has released new firmware for the Lumix DMC-TZ11 (known as the TZ4 in Japan) and the Lumix DMC-TZ15 (known as the TZ5 in Japan). Firmware version 1.2 improves auto focusing performance in both cameras.
