This model incorporates a high speed CMOS sensor and a high speed LSI processor. With this model, Casio has achieved an ultra-high speed 60 frames per second (fps) burst rate for still images, together with 1,200 fps high speed movie recording that captures movement faster than the eye can see for ultra-slow motion replay. Sony has just released a new firmware for the A700 Digital SLR.

Improvements over Firmware “Ver.2”:

• When pictures are taken rapidly, the access lamp may stay lit and the system may become inoperable.
• When turning off the camera when the “MR” mode is selected, some settings registered in the MR mode can be reflected in other shooting modes.

Improvements over Firmware “Ver.1”:

• The picture sharpness is better under low contrast conditions.
• Noise is reduced when working at high sensitivity ISO setting.
• The flash control is better at close range with a non-ADI control lens.
