Sony Australia has announced the Alpha Centre. An online resource for hobbist and professional photographers to discuss their craft of painting with light (photography).

“The α Centre is designed to foster a community where professional photographers can share their knowledge, whilst also enabling proficient imaging enthusiasts to learn more about digital SLR technology and improve their photography skills,” said John Wallace, DSLR Business Development Manager for Sony Australia. “With tutorials on key topics, live forums and tips and techniques from professionals, digital SLR users of all levels will find inspiration for their craft.”

Today Sony has announced the successor to the Alpha A100 Digital SLR camera, the A200. 

The A200 features:

• 2.5″ LCD, 10.2 megapixels
• Dust reduction system
• Super SteadyShot system
• ISO 100-3200
• Up to 6 frames per second continuous shooting
